about

A record that is restlessly inventive and one that sees, frontman and main song writer, Barney Morse-Brown, take a new direction from that of Duotone's first album, 'Work Harder'.

It is rare these days to find a record that is un-categorizable – but, Ropes, the second album by Duotone is just that.

The emotion of the songs is never far away, whether it is the gorgeous singing of Raevennan Husbandes, emphasising loss on ‘Turning Pages Over’ or the final track, ‘Picture Box’, which drawing on the frailty of human existence wonders ‘If we’ll find land‘. Intriguing and intoxicating, it is well worth exploring the unique world of Duotone.
